New Cardplayer Interview With Dzmitry “Colisea” Urbanovich

Live poker Vanessa Selbst thinks she’s locked up an easy $10k after laying odds of 200:1 that Dzmitry Urbanovich can’t win 3 WSOP bracelets in 2016 Last month it came to light that an ambitious WSOP bracelet bet had proposed by Vanessa Selbst and accepted by young Polish phenom Dzmitry “Colisea” Urbanovich. The bet requires Urbanovich to win 3 WSOP bracelets at this year’s WSOP and he stands to win a huge $2,000,000 if he can make it. Cardplayer magazine recently caught up with Urbanovich to find out what on earth he was thinking! The bet was made last month at the PCA on an alcohol fuelled night out, and as the 200:1 price that Urbanovich got might suggest, it’s going to be a tall order, especially for a WSOP rookie who, as yet, isn’t even old enough to play at the WSOP. However, Urbanovich is no ordinary 20 year old – last year alone he won over $4.1m in live tournaments and he is improving all the time, and is also now a regular at the nosebleed cash games online. In the interview, Urbanovich realises that perhaps he should have sought better odds as apparently Selbst snap accepted the 200:1 odds. In fact, in a previous interview on the topic, Selbst said she thinks the real odds of winning 3 bracelets in one series should be more like 10,000:1. That said, it’s not an impossible task as the likes of Puggy Pearson, Jeff Lissandro, Phil Ivey, Ted Forrest, and Phil Hellmuth have already proven. Urbanovich is in confident mood, and in the interview says he is still looking out for more WSOP bets and asks anyone interested to contact him on twitter!
